Why Choose "Circa"?
The "Circa" principal, Patricia Loughridge, has over 20 years experience in the antique and estate sale business. Patti is a former museum curator, and is an accredited appraiser with ISA and has formal education in appraisal theory, principles, procedures, ethics and the law. Our network of customers, high ethical standards and concern for personal service will make your estate sale experience unparalleled.
What Kind of Items Does Circa Sell?
The tag/estate sale format allows us to successfully sell a wide variety of items in one sale, from fine period antiques, reproductions and jewelry to household items, tools and basement contents.
First, a thorough appraisal is conducted to authenticate and determine value of all items. As experienced appraisers, the Circa experts can readily identify particularly valuable or fine pieces. In some instances, we move these items to more suitable markets. Our knowledge of the industry and customer network assures the true value will be realized for your possessions.
What if I Only Have a Few Items to Sell?
Your items can be stored and sold at the next appropriate Estate Sale scheduled. You do not need an entire household of furniture to be able to conduct a successful sale.
From Start to Finish, How Long Do Estate Sales Take?
Our staff needs at least two full weeks on site to appraise, inventory, clean, arrange and advertise the property. The actual sale will run two to three days depending on the amount of items to sell. Sales can be conducted on site or at another location. We can tailor the sale in any number of ways to meet your needs. Most importantly, at the end of the sale, we will take an empty house AND A NICE SETTLEMENT CHECK over to you.
Do I have to be Present During the Estate Sale Process?
As your estate sale partner, we can provide various levels of assistance including a turn key operation that can relieve you of any effort.
Will People Attend the Sale?
"Circa" has an extensive mailing list of several thousand names of collectors, both professional and amateur, many of whom are responsible for museum and dealer collections. We will also conduct an aggressive advertising campaign in the appropriate newspapers, on the web through our website and industry sales sites, and personally contact clients with particular interests. We have found our attractive and clear signage for the roadway boosts our sales significantly.
